Donation Terms

These Donation Terms explain how donations, pledges, donor records, receipts, refund requests and recurring gift intentions are handled by Synaptic Foundation.

Donation processing

Synaptic Foundation accepts donor information through its hosted donation checkout. Until live payment processing is fully connected, a submitted checkout records the donor’s donation intent and allows Synaptic Foundation to follow up if needed to complete payment.

Synaptic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN: 41-3577586.

No goods or services are provided in exchange for a contribution unless otherwise stated in writing by Synaptic Foundation. Donation receipts are emailed to the donor email address provided during checkout.

Recurring gifts and pledges

Monthly gifts, annual gifts and pledges selected during checkout record donor intent. Recurring billing will begin only after live payment processing is connected and donor payment authorization is confirmed.

Corrections, cancellations and refund review

To request a correction, cancellation or refund review, contact Synaptic Foundation at info@synapticfoundation.org. Requests are reviewed based on donation status, payment processor timing, accounting requirements and applicable law.

Recognition and dedication preferences

Donors may choose whether a gift may be recognized publicly or kept anonymous. Donors may also provide honor or memory dedication information for Synaptic Foundation records.
